FANFIC STORY NOTES

Takes place straight after TREKWHO: Spock's Destiny

The Star Trek and Doctor Who (whoniverse) have merged into one - go here for the beginning of the story.
Yes, this is a multiple series crossover in that it crosses with Stargate SG-1,
Dark Angel (for Manticore and Sandman) and Battlestar Galactica (for the Kobollians. The
universe is the original classic BSG one not the 2003 remake).
MINOR SPOILER ALERT: The Hok'tar mentioned appear also in the Stargate SG-1 episode of Season 5 "Rite of Passage".

* * * * *
Disclaimer: This takes place in the TREKWHO universe where things are very, very different
from either our own universe as well as the Doctor's usual universe. For one thing, the Doctor in his first incarnation was a Starfleet officer.

24th Century
Captain Archer's Enterprise was a sleek vessel of advanced technological design. It
had encountered many alien races throughout its journey. This day would
be its last. The Doctor in his first regeneration had left the Enterprise on an extended
leave only a few days earlier.

"Prepare to be destroyed by the Gou'ald!" the announcement blared throughout
the bridge, relayed on the sound systems all over the ship, only moments before the Enterprise exploded
into billions of debris. There were no survivors.

21st Century
The Doctor had regenerated six times since he left the Enterprise. He had not gone back.
In the Battlestar Galactica, an enormous starship, Ace and the Doctor, in his
jolly looking but dead serious seventh persona, had said their goodbyes to Apollo and
his father Adama. Adama did not lack anything in determination even though his very
old age was making it difficult for him to keep leading the human survivors of the
war with the Cylons. Ace clearly described him as a man with a dream and with good
values. Many times he had persuaded the Council of Twelve to allow the quest of the
Galactica to go on. To some the quest was some mythological ideal which could never
become reality. To look for Earth was a fool's quest - like trying to find the pot
of gold at the end of a rainbow. Ace told Apollo that he was no fool and clearly this
warrior would get there someday. The Doctor understood that Adama was hoping, no
preparing Apollo so that in future he would be the leader of the Galacticans. These
humans on the Battlestar were descendants of a civilisation known as Kobol. Their old
legends said the latter had gotten to earth by starships and built a doorway or
stargate back to their old homeworld Kobol. Indeed somebody had made it back many
years ago, for the legend of earth to have existed. The tattered fleet
including the Galactica were on the run from a reptilian race known as
the Cylons. Thanks to the Doctor, now they knew that Earth really existed. Not that Adama
had doubted the Book, but this convinced the Council and was Adama's greatest achievement.
The Doctor did give a few 'innocent' hints on where it was located. Not too much
information as that might alter their history.

21st Century
SGC - Cheyenne Mountain

In the rather dull briefing room in Stargate Command, the four members of the Stargate
SG-1 team and General Hammond were discussing some artifacts which had been found on
P1X-777, i.e. the fifth moon of Jupiter, called Amalthea. For once, Jack had said, they
had been to their own solar system. They had been given this Stargate coordinate
through unusual circumstances, but it had worked well. The MALP robot showed clearly
that there was an alien installation on the moon's surface. The team had gone there and
found it deserted. The artifacts were found inside the installation. Clearly they had been
left by the Ancients many, many years ago. Daniel Jackson, the team archaeologist, was
decoding the millennia-old inscriptions, with the help of Teal'c, the Jaffa member of SG-1.

"General, these inscriptions seem to contain the history of the Ancients. They recount
their departure from their homeworld which they called Kh'obol. It was almost a
garden of eden from the way they describe it. A lush thriving vegetation covered most
of the continents. Then they left for an uninhabited world called Earth."

"How did they know of Earth?" the General was curious. He was sure the President would
be very interested in this latest find. It could help ensure the existence of the SGC
in future.

"It seems that they sent various probes, generations earlier, looking for lives in many
different star systems. They reported back after many, many, years. We don't know how much
- we still don't understand their calendar with centons and other similar units. What we
know is that life had not developed on Earth, the atmosphere was not supportive of life.
They claim that they settled on Mars. General, according to this, on Mars there was/is an
advanced race, the Ice Warriors, and it was these who brought the Goa'uld to our solar
system. It mentions a Stargate on the moon called Europa. We are still decoding the rest."

"The one on Europa, like the one on Amalthea, was not on our Abydos cartouche. Clearly
the Ancients did not want to reveal their existence." Sam deduced. Sam's thoughts were
correct. Europa and much more Amalthea contained artifacts on the history of the race of
the Ancients. The heritage of the Ancients was preserved there, waiting for man to arise.

A thought formed in Hammond's mind. "Were the Ancients humanoid?"

"They were, but with two hearts before they altered themselves genetically. They were
our ancestors, it seems."

"Keep me informed of anything else which you discover."

(over 10,000 years ago)
It was ugly. An almost ape-like creature with no intelligence of its own. It was called an Unas. It lived on the planet P3X-888 (the name was given by Stargate SG-1 many years later).

One day, an expedition of the Ice Warriors, a reptilian and scaly race from the planet Mars, ventured to the moon called Europa, where it discovered a Stargate, built by the Kobollians. The gate was not close to an installation
of the Ancients, thankfully, so the Ice Warriors did not encounter the Ancients who were guarding it. The Ancients did not guard their Stargates, but they guarded their installations. Their heritage, they felt, was more important than a transportation device. Hissing loudly, almost rudely, the Ice Warriors managed to get it to work and went through it. By chance, they found themselves on the planet P3X-888. Some
snake-like creatures were living in the seas of P3X-888. They also found quite a few of the Unas, whom they captured also.
They brought them back through the Stargate, and then by starship to their planet for further investigation. Egotistically, they hoped they would serve their warlike interests. They wondered who had built the Stargate.
The builders were a danger to the Ice Warriors. Worried, they returned home. Some 5000 years ago they had begun the exploration of the solar
system, yet they had not found anything like this gate. Even Earth had been explored.

The snake creatures called themselves the Gou'ald, but the Warriors did not know that. They escaped into the wild after failing to parasitically join with an Ice Warrior, not least due to the armour it was wearing.
That was when one of the Gou'ald snake parasite joined with an Unas.
This led to the joined Unas taking the other creatures, an encouragement for the rest of his kind to do the same. Yet not all of them were evil.

Back on Earth
The huge starship of the Kobollians had just arrived. Earth was their promised land, yet there was a problem. It could not support them
because the atmosphere contained too much carbon dioxide, and they needed oxygen. Thus, on the surface they placed many plants, trees and other
machines which convert carbon dioxide to oxygen. They left them there, and after placing two stargates in two different locations, they departed once more. The next planet, Mars, was very inhabitable. It had some water, and
the atmosphere was perfect for them. Thus they decided to establish themselves over there. Earth could be colonised many years later, when its atmosphere would be corrected.

* * * *

Mars was not a lonely place. The Kobollians had many years back, built their first Stargate in the city of Eden on Kobol, hidden in an ancient tomb.
From Mars, the Kobollians built spaceprobes and colonised other planets in the galaxy. They put Stargates there, to build a network of gates which could be used for instantaneous planetary transport which would not require spacecraft. The Kobollians came to be called "the Ancients"
by some other races in the galaxy. Their descendants were mostly the humans on earth, and the humans on the colonies they built. Once time
travel was possible and safe, some Kobollians did get to settle on Gallifrey, the Doctor's homeworld. Gallifrey was chosen because it had the same length of day and year, same gravity as well as the same distance from the same type
of sun. Rassilon, a Kobollian on a colony of theirs, had devised the first Kobollian time machine which did not work properly. He would later manage to solve the secret of time travel, and this led to the settlement of Gallifrey. To avoid enslavement by the Gou'ald,
they travelled back in time to Gallifrey in the past. The Gou'ald would need to travel through
time, not just space, to find them. While some said this was cowardice, there was no other way to remain alive.

Kobollians always had two hearts but the past few years had shown them that the incidence of heart disease was increasing, so they had used
advanced genetic technology to alter their descendants' dna. The modifications
resulted in future humans being born with only one heart.

This alteration, however was a controversial one. While it affected all humans who were born on Earth later, people who lived on their colonies such as Ultron or those who were about to leave for Gallifrey refused to go ahead with the
genetic alterations, saying that it was an affront to God. It was as if the
Kobollians thought they had become gods. The Doctor thought of himself as
half-human, being the son of a human from Earth and an unaltered Kobollian
who was going to emigrate to Gallifrey. The latter already called himself
a Gallifreyan. It was true that not all Time Lords are Gallifreyans,
and the Doctor was a hybrid, half Kobollian and half Gallifreyan, yet still a
Time Lord. The other major advantage of not going through the alteration was
the belief that one day their scientists would develop a way for them to regenerate
into different bodies. One day this was developed, but on Gallifrey itself.

* * * * *

A few more years later...

The Unas, now slaves of the Gou'ald, now took to hiding in the vast plains
of the planet Mars. Crashni was one of the Unas. His mind was clouded by
the evil symbiote within him. The days passed. When an Ice Warrior patrol
would attempt to capture them, they would be defeated easily. The Gou'ald
were growing in strength and intelligence. One day, Crashni saw a faraway
city. Observing it, he saw great craft rise from it towards the horizon. He
knew now that not even the Ice Warriors would dare there. Perhaps the
Gou'ald could conquer it. The others followed him at a distance.

* * * * *

The planet Mars was being studied by the Kobollians. They discovered that
the Ice Warriors lived there, but so far no direct contact had been
established. While the Ice Warriors were intelligent, having developed
starships, they were potentially dangerous since they were very warlike.
The Kobollians built underground tunnels which were shielded with their
advanced technological defenses. Such precautions were necessary.

Crashni walked as much as he could. Eventually he saw what could be
an entrance to the golden city. People went out of the entrance. That
was his cue. He went close to them and made funny sounds. The Unas had
not yet learnt speech, nor language. The Kobollians were curious and
examined Crashni. Crashni was old, or his host body was, and his
parasite was looking for a new host. Crashni's parasite left him and
attacked one of the Kobollians at the throat. The Gou'ald entered him
through the throat and became the first human host of a Gou'ald. All
the advanced knowledge was his! The other Gou'ald came, slowly, and
did the same to the other Kobollians who were nearby. Nobody was left
to witness this event. Undetected, they reentered the city. While they
looked unchanged, everything was different. Whereas before they were
peaceful, God-loving people, now they became selfish individuals, seeking
their own glory rather than helping others. They enjoyed the Egyptian
style surroundings of the Kobollians. At this point in time, the
Kobollians had made a pact with three other intelligent and peaceful
races in the galaxy which would in the future become the basis for the
galactic Federation. Fortunately for the Kobollians, the Ice Warriors began a
hibernation period of a number of years.

* * * * *
Years later, on Earth

Earth's terraforming was complete. Now the Kobollians could go there,
before the Ice Warriors would wake up from their slumber. Also, there
was another planet where today we can find the asteroid belt, and it
was too close to Mars. It caused huge worldwide floods on Mars, yet
fortunately the Kobollians managed to leave before. While many of
the Gou'ald who stayed behind did die in the Flood, those who survived
began calling themselves Osirans and began building pyramids on Mars.

The Kobollians did not even suspect that they had been invaded from within.
The blue planet would be the new home of the Gou'ald.
The Kobollians were for the most part, people who had a good relationship with
God, even though it was clear that the human race had fallen from grace.
From that moment, things got worse: mankind became more and more evil -
the Kobollians on Earth became known as arrogant, self-loving,
individuals who wanted to put God aside because they claimed to be gods
themselves. Their major city with its large spaceport was called Numar,
or Numenosa. After its downfall it began to be called Atalante. Some of them
repented of their evil servitude and rebelled against the other Gou'ald.
In future they would only join voluntary human hosts.

Some humans were left alive, to live as slaves. As the years went by,
these forgot of the advanced Kobollian technology. It became just
myth. Much was lost and destroyed. The Gou'ald defeated most of
the Kobollians, taking them as their newest hosts. Some Kobollians
managed to access the two Stargates, and escaped to nearby Mars
and some other colonies, including two planets called Krypton and Ultron.
The Gou'ald assimilated all the Kobollian knowledge quickly. They learnt
of the other worlds with Stargates. They would take their slaves there
and put them in use. Those who escaped had no time to waste: they
destroyed the Stargates on their planets so the Gou'ald would not
attack them through it. Thus they could not contact the other
races in the pact and the latter did not know of what was going on.

Meanwhile the Gou'ald began doing genetic experiments on humans. One
branch of the experimentation was called Manticore. Their purpose was
to genetically improve human hosts for themselves besides possibly to
produce better Jaffa as they called them. Of course a Jaffa should not
be stronger than a Gou'ald, so they preferred the former possibility.

Egypt, 4000 years ago (around 2000 BC)

A human Jaffa worked feverishly in the complex. His DNA was
used for most of the experiments. He was called the Sandman. He felt
as if he was the father of all the newly born soldiers. The Jaffa were
the soldier slaves of the Gou'ald.

A tall blue box appeared out of nowhere in the Sandman's quarters.
An elegant humanoid-like but not quite human figure came out of it, followed by another.

"Hi", the first figure said," I'm known as the Doctor." He was now in his seventh
regeneration. He carried an umbrella which a "question mark" tip.
"And this is Ace" he pointed towards her. "And you are...?" he looked
towards the Jaffa. "I am a Jaffa, I am Sandman."

The Doctor was intrigued at the high level of technology this place
had, very Osiran-like.

"Is this your home, your office, or something else?" The Doctor
was sure this was out of place. He had believed this era to have
been nothing special technologically, but what was this alien doing
here?

"This is the Manticore Base. I work here for Apophis."

Manticore. Why was the name familiar? Why? The Doctor wondered. This
civilisation would come to an end, soon. And it would not leave any
trace of its existence. Then he remembered that he knew of this,
many, many years ago.

"Who is Apophis?"

"He is the creator."

"Hmmm of course he is not!! He can die like everyone else!
He's just a false god!" the Doctor exclaimed.

"Blasphemer! You will die for your insolence!"

Suddenly an enormous mothership hovered over the Base. The ship
was an Asgard ship and it announced itself as such, as well
as one of the Alliance of four races, announced its presence over some
kind of intercom. Other Asgard ships appeared all over the earth at the
same time. Ace asked the Doctor whether he had ever met these races
before. Of course he had. Many years back it was during this time when
he had been sent back in time by the Gallifreyan council to contact the
race known as the Asgards.
He encouraged them to help free the enslaved Earth. The Gou'ald
impersonated false gods from mythology (well they said they were)
to enslave humans and shipped them off through the Stargate as
slaves to mine minerals such as Naquada. The result of the Doctor's
intervention had been that the Gou'ald had to leave quickly via
the Stargate. The Kobollians had been one of the races in the
Alliance, yet they had been defeated dismally by the Gou'ald.
It was the Doctor who had given them the information they needed
to begin the defeat of the Gou'ald on earth.

Ace just said "Professor, this is something else you set up a long
time ago, isn't it?"

"You can say so. It was a long time ago when I was sent by the
Gallifreyan council to inform the Asgards. The Gou'ald will never
conquer Earth again. The Asgards are sending out an audio signal which
will be heard by everyone on Earth, informing them that the Gou'ald
are false gods and that they are to rebel against them. The Kobollians
were known as the Ancients before the Gou'ald took them over parasitically.
Now some of them were among the first settlers on Gallifrey. A few days
ago, when you asked me who I am, well the answer is that I was one of
those who settled on Gallifrey. Gallifreyans have two hearts just like
the Kobollians had."

"But if normal humans are their descendants how come they don't have two
hearts?" asked an inquistive Ace.

"Genetic engineering. It was a perverse intrusion. Early Kobollians felt that
one heart was enough. Come on Ace, we've got to go
before this place gets buried."

While they were looking outside a wide window at the hovering mothership,
Sandman made his way inside the Doctor's TARDIS, whose doors were left open.
The Doctor and Ace left in a hurry, unaware of their guest.

The experiments with the Hok'tar had not been too successful. It would take
two millennia before the desired results would appear. In the meantime no evolution
would really take place since the genetically altered children would all
die out at a young age without becoming Hok'tar. But a form of Manticore kept
existing throughout the ages and kept working for this purpose.

The Gouald named Nirrti since long ago had decided to call the soldiers she
wanted to create the Hok'tar - enhanced Tauri or human. The Hok'tar would be
able to blow up lights and disrupt computers and other technological equipment
using EM pulses which they were genetically able to emit. It would be 2005 when
the Hok'tar or transgenics would unleash the pulse on an unsuspecting humanity.
The Gou'ald had put Madame X, a number of years ago, in charge of Manticore;
and she had been the architect behind the development of the pulse abilities.
The majority of the people at Manticore by now, including the X series soldiers,
did not know of the Gou'ald. On the other hand a parallel group to Manticore,
basically a cult, was being used by the Gou'ald to develop stronger Jaffa
through other means without genetic augmentation. Madame X was not human -
she was a Gou'ald System Lord who was called Clytemnestra by the greeks millennia
before. Years afterwards, when an X5 called Max managed to
free all the transgenics from Manticore, Madame X would lie dying. But since
she was a Gou'ald, she would be revived using a Gou'ald Sarcophagus.

America, 1982

The TARDIS brought the Doctor to this time and place rather than the
Eye of Orion. It was irritating when it did this, as it implied a
certain loss of control. The reason was quite serious, however, a tear
in the fabric of space-time. Setting the controls to monitor the
emitted chronotron particles was no fun, but it helped the Doctor
determine that from this point onwards in time, many things existed
with a double quantum signature. The Doctor knew that there should
be only one, and that would refer to the universe they lived in. But
how come most things had a double signature from this time onwards?

"Ace, something must have gone badly wrong - this can mean only that
two universes have been merged into one, crisis style!"

"Can't we do something, Doctor?"

"Investigate!"

While the Doctor and Ace left to investigate their surroundings,
the Sandman carefully found the console room. He managed to open
the TARDIS doors and leave. He found himself in a world he never
imagined. Ultimately, some descendants of the original earth jaffa
had rebuilt Manticore for the same evil purposes, waiting for the
time when they would contact the Gou'ald again. He ended up working
for them, as they worked under a cover of mapping the human genome
and performing genetic experiments.

Since it was the only thing he had known so far, and by then without
much of a choice, he would prepare genetically engineered jaffa,
trained as weapons, starting with the X1. Then the X2, the X3, the X4
and the X5. He kept attempting to engineer actual Hok'tars. Most of
the X's were not yet Hok'tars in the proper sense of the word but
they were genetically enhanced just the same. They were strong weapons
which was good.

Meanwhile, the Doctor and Ace carefully searched for the focal
point of the universe merging. This was the place. But the time was wrong.
They had to go a few more years in the future, when terrorists
would set off a destructive EM pulse. They entered the TARDIS again,
and left for the 21st century. Only the pulse was not emitted by terrorists,
but by a few Hok'tar. Little did the world know.

The Doctor checked some instruments and found out that they had just had
an intruder on board. But the Doctor suspected this already. He knew it.
He recalled how Sandman was the father of Odo, but in the far away
24th Century! He knew that Sandman must have travelled through time, perhaps
by stealing the TARDIS from the Doctor. He remembered the precise words he
heard on that day long ago, on the Enterprise commanded by Archer:

'My name is Odo. I am a shapeshifter who was adopted by a Gallifreyan
years ago. I took this TARDIS as my own after my adoptive father, the
previous occupant, who died due to radiation burns. Before dying he gave it
to me. We were travelling because both us were fed up with our decadent
Gallifreyan society and I wanted to explore the universe and perhaps
find others of my kind. That is, until it developed systematic troubles.
My TARDIS needs urgent repairs. My father was called Sandman.'

Sandman, an Unas, must have stolen the TARDIS at this point in time. But the Doctor,
while prepared for the eventuality, could no longer prevent this unless
he wanted to risk the stability of space-time. On the other hand the combined
universe would probably change this event. Sandman must have later on gone to live
on Gallifrey. Of all the things he could have done, he went to settle on Gallifrey!

The TARDIS emitted a vworp sound after it materialised. A team of Manticore
X1 soldiers, actually kids, and a few X5's were ready for the Doctor. A Manticore specialist
had detected a sequence of emissions from the space-time vortex, corresponding
to the future arrival of the TARDIS. This meant that Sandman knew that the
Doctor had arrived. The Manticore soldiers easily took control of the TARDIS.
The Doctor had to give them the key, or they would easily kill Ace. Their
genetically augmented capabilities made them impossible to defeat. They would
introduce Ace to their little breeding programs. They would force the Doctor
to be their Scientific Advisor. So the Doctor could understand how Sandman
could have obtained the TARDIS. He would have gone to the future, to Gallifrey.
But the Doctor did not just know this. He knew that the moment had arrived.
This would be Manticore's attempt to destabilise civilisation using the Hok'tar
EM pulse. This would have left Earth defenseless against an eventual attack of
the Gou'ald.

The Doctor calibrated a quantum dimensional stabiliser, which he had kept
hidden in his pocket, and triggered it at the appropriate moment when the
pulse struck. The effect of the combined beams, split the two Universes from
that point onwards back in two as they were before. The TREKWHO universe
had split back in two. Everything faded and changed. All was as it had been
before.

* * * * * *

Sandman still hitched a ride in the TARDIS, in the Doctor's universe (but
not in the Star Trek universe, of course). But Manticore (the Earth-777
version) did not have the technological capabilities of detecting
chronitron particles, so Sandman did not steal the TARDIS. He remained
with Manticore for some time.

* * * * * *

Sandman in the Star Trek universe was only born some time late in the 20th Century,
and so far he never met the Doctor. He is still associated with Manticore.

* * * * * *

In the Star Trek universe, there are no Goa'ulds around, so the Enterprise was
*not* destroyed in the 24th Century. At least, not by a Goa'uld. The Doctor never
was a starfleet officer (in his first incarnation at least).

* * * * * *

The Doctor found himself in his original fifth body, however knowing that the
two universes were once more separated. He had a deep memory of the events in the
other timeline - perhaps it was stored in his biodata after all. Next to him was
Chief O'Brien. He looked around, noticed the combination of Cardassian and Federation
equipment, thus he deduced that he was in the Star Trek universe, or F-Space, on the
space station Deep Space Nine, in orbit around the planet Bajor.

"How did you know of the merging of the two universes?" the Doctor asked ex-Voyager crew member Ensign Ballard.

"A certain Sandman was dying from radiation burns, in the merged universe. He was placed
by some Gallifreyans in an experimental transdimensional trasmat device. His atoms were
spread across multiple universes, until through the principle of anti-time, they arrived
in this universe (the Star Trek one) and we attempted to reintegrate him. Our attempt
was unsuccessful, though now I do not know if this has changed due to the separation
of the two universes once more."

"And what caused the merging effect? I mean, I know it occurred during the Manticore
EM blast, but it was designed by the Gou'ald to weaken earth, not to merge universes!"

"What's a Gou'ald? And a Manticore?" Chief O'Brien was getting dizzy now.

"Goa'ulds are very nasty aliens who do not exist in your universe. Though you have a species
which is similar, the parasitical Trill race. But Trills only take hosts from their own world and
voluntarily, not like the warlike Goa'ulds. And they share memories from one host to the next,
reminds me of my own regeneration process. Manticore is one organisation which was set up by their
croneys, in my universe. I'm not sure if it existed in yours. Possibly, quite so." the Doctor clarified.

"The merging was induced by the dissipating atoms travelling cross-universe. The transit
caused the merging effect."

"A Corollary to Blinovitch." the Doctor looked at O'Brien, who commented "So we've got
nobody to blame the merging on, just some Gallifreyans in the merged universe which
does not exist any more! Why don't we go to Quark's and play a game of darts? We'll
find Julian there."

"I'm more into cricket, but why not?"

THE END

What you need to know:
The Doctor is a Time Lord – a time-traveller from the alien world called Gallifrey [Universe-777, the Stargate Universe] who travels in space and time thanks to his TARDIS which looks like a police box, bigger inside than outside. When the Doctor is severely injured or even killed, he will regenerate into a new appearance and body. He is currently in his tenth incarnation (9th regeneration). He is the survivor of the Time War which saw his homeworld Gallifrey destroyed completely.

The Sliders (the original ones), after having managed to travel back to Earth-001, have kept experimenting with dimensional travel. Years have passed since the Sliders returned. They are no longer able to slide and have lost contact with the Doctor.”

He is currently in his fifth incarnation (4th regeneration). His thirteenth will be the last.

The Sliders have developed a technique called Sliding which allows them to go to different dimensions or parallel universes, but will they ever find the way to their home earths [Earth-001 for all except Maggie who is from Earth-022 and Diana from Earth-920]?

The Doctor with his companions – currently Major Samantha Carter of Stargate SG-1 from the US military of Earth-777, and the Sliders – is on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless and the powerless throughout the whole multiverse of multiple universes. The Doctor’s alteration to the Sliders’ timeline has resulted in multiple changes across various multiverse timelines in hypertime. Fixing these holes is an important task of the Doctor which has been sanctioned by an angel of God called the White Guardian. The Doctor has left behind his TARDIS in Earth-811. Remmy decided to stay behind on Earth-820 while the Doctor has gone to the future and slid together with Samantha Carter and the Sliders – Quinn, Wade, Professor Arturo and Diana.
Meanwhile Tegan, Adric, and Nyssa are still at Cheyenne Mountain. Gabriel Law and Maggie are new members of Stargate SG-1 who are currently prisoners on the planet PX8-999.”

Planet Deva Loka / PX8-999 (Universe-777) in the 21st century
The room they were in was dark and quite humid. They had been imprisoned here in this small shed by the Goa’uld Kali, awaiting interrogation. Fortunately the Goa’uld had been busy, talking and dealing with Charissa, the natives’ leader.

Apparently there had been some disagreement. Jack O’Neill was hoping the cavalry from Earth would arrive soon. He hoped the Doctor might be back too, together with Sam. Jack looked at the other SG-1 members, namely Daniel Jackson, Maggie Beckett and Gabriel Law. Though Gabriel definitely had the strength to free them all, a paralysis dart had knocked him unconscious. They were captured shortly after. The Goa’uld had not yet understood that Gabriel was a superstrong human, so they still had a card up their sleeve. Once he woke up, anyway, SG-1 could escape at any time, but they still wanted to get to know what the Goa’uld Kali had in mind for the place. So how long was he taking to wake up?

The Stargate whooshed and through it came the SG-2 team led by Major Coburn. Hindle had just joined SG-2 on this rescue mission. Hindle had lived on this world – known as Kinda – in the future. It was eerily similar. In his time it had been targeted for colonisation, though that hadn’t gone too well. Coburn decided to go and talk to the locals. The natives might help. Hindle was not too much in favour. He didn’t trust them, the way they behaved. But the Doctor  who was the team’s official advisor, had agreed with Coburn, too.

kindapeople
Coburn talked at length with the native woman Hidalgos, the leader of this group of natives. Hidalgos seemed a friendly enough woman. They couldn’t talk to any man, as they were mute. Hindle thought she was short and ugly, almost a dwarf. After setting up base camp with the locals themselves, SG-2 had determined the location where SG-1 were being kept. Or at least, where their radios were. One could broadly assume that the radios had been taken from them. The Doctor make it clear that this might be a trap. The radios could have been placed somewhere to trap anyone attempting to trace them. Hindle kept looking at some of the natives, expecting them to become insane at any moment, just as he was a long time ago. Or it seemed like a long time ago.

Time passed. The Doctor and SG-2 were taken by Hidalgos into a rocky area. This was supposed to close to the location where SG-1 was being held captive. Suddenly a spear went through Major Coburn, straight through the heart. He let out a sigh, and fell down. It was one of the natives, who had killed him. It was a signal to a group of Jaffa who was hidden in the area. They revealed themselves and captured SG-2 and the Doctor easily. Like the Doctor had suspected, this had been a trap plain and simple.
‘Take us to your leader’, the Doctor said. ‘At least we get to know who he is.’
‘Silent, human!’, the Prime Jaffa struck the Doctor on his cheek. ‘We are taking you to the Goa’uld Kali. She will decide your fate, together with the others.’

Planet Skaro-777
Some time ago, alt-Max from the future timeline had been on this world. The Daleks had spent a lot of their time trying to figure out how he had dematerialised.

There was no trace of a teleport or transmat. But an energy signature had been detected and eventually traced down to an old abandoned ring device. They found it, spent time trying to decipher its symbols and workings. Until they managed to get it to work. This was the famed Chappa’ai, the Stargate, of legend! So it was real. It would be of use for them now. They could conquer the universe using the Stargate. Perhaps even Earth. They would not even need starships. Perhaps they would find the Doctor again. They attempted various combinations of chevron symbols, sent a Dalek to every one of them. Most of them perished, but some did not. Eventually they came upon the symbols for PX8-999. Read aloud, it would sound like ‘GHEDEN’ (meaning Eden in Maltese) or ‘GHED’EN’ (Goa’uld for Eden).

Planet Deva Loka / PX8-999
The Stargate on PX8-999 began to activate. A stream of particles whooshed and a scout Dalek came out.
The Dalek roamed the countryside of the planet, in an attempt to survey the area. Soon the Dalek saw a group of moving figures. The Dalek took a better look, zoomed his vision and made out one of the figures.

It was the Enemy. The Dok-torr. Killer of the Daleks. He must be eliminated at all costs. So the Dalek turned towards the party.

The Prime Jaffa heard the noise the Dalek made once it recognised the Doctor, who had been captured together with SG-2.

The Doctor, surprised to see the Dalek, decided not to say anything.

The Dalek got very close to the group, so the Prime Jaffa ordered the Jaffa to fire their zat-guns towards the Dalek.
In a big explosion the Dalek blew up in smoke.

Gabriel yawned, waking up. The dart had kept him asleep for hours, but now be had regained consciousness.

SG-1 had been captured by the Goa’uld. That’s enough, he thought.

He broke through his bars as if they were candy. Some of the Jaffa began to fire at him. It was like a little sting. He barely felt it. He swatted them as if they were flies. They fell down like heavy stones.
‘What if he turns against us, one day?’ Jack was thinking this as the Goa’uld Kali entered the room. Suddenly, Gabriel’s eyes flashed.
‘Oh no, not this now’ Jack said. Gabriel had been taken over by a Goa’uld. His strength had not helped him this time. His body had not resisted the intruder snake in his body, or at least it had not succeeded. Was it because he had been sleeping? Did sleep render him vulnerable?
‘You awake, Dhalman’, Kali said. So this was the Goa’uld Dhalman who had taken over Gabriel.

‘Yes, this hok’tar body will serve me well!’, Dhalman said.

Dhalman and Kali left quickly, boarding a Goa’uld mothership which was ready to launch. They had no interest in the others, and this was the reason why they had come to this place.

They had wanted to develop a hok’tar – an Advanced Human or SuperHuman –  but they had been given one for free! They did not need this world any more.

The remaining members of SG-1 – Daniel, Maggie and Jack, during the confusion which had happened, managed to free themselves and took some zat gun weapons. They zapped a number of Jaffa, and left the small shed.

When they looked around, they saw some figures far away boarding a Goa’uld mothership.

Dhalman and Kali are leaving, Jack thought. But who were the figures being herded aboard? Daniel looked using his binoculars and recognised them: the Doctor and SG-2 had been taken prisoners.
Maggie wanted to mount an attack on the Jaffa and the mothership. But Jack reminded her that they weren’t armed well and with Dhalman having Gabriel’s strength, it would be impossible. They would need backup. So they radioed Stargate Command and informed them of the new situation.

Earth-777, in the year 2582
The Doctor and the other Sliders emerged from a wormhole. Sam was suggesting to go to Stargate Command, if it still existed.
The Doctor said it would exist, since Hindle had known of it around this time.
Professor Arturo said that was great, perhaps they had time travel by this time.
“No they don’t. Thanks to the Time Lords..” the Doctor replied “however more advanced materials and technology are available in this era and that may help.”
“We could use the Stargate, if there is a solar eclipse, to travel back in time.” Sam explained “We, I mean SG-1 once used it to go back to 1969. I could attempt something.”
“We will see” Diana said. Diana sighed. She hoped they would get back to the 21st century. It felt strange to slide, let alone to slide in the future now.

Cheyenne Mountain, Earth-777, in the year 2582
By this year the Stargate was public knowledge – everyone knew about it, everyone learnt about the famous SG-1 team of Teal’c, Jack, Sam and Daniel. They also learnt about other SG-1 members. SG-1 however was not just a part of earth’s history. As time passed, new members joined the SG-1 team.

This was the day that a new member was becoming part of the SG-1 team. His name was Hindle.
He had been to outer space before, since he was military and he had been to the Deva Loka colony. Failed colony.
And it was straight at the edge of destruction.
Then the Doctor arrived and had saved them. The Doctor had left, but without his knowledge the planet was left in a time loop.
Thankfully the Doctor had subsequently returned here, took Hindle with him and the Sliders.

Now Hindle was on his own again. He looked up the SGC complex, which had kept the same name surprisingly.
He had seen it in the 20th century, he had met the legends themselves – the first SG-1 team.
Just last week he had applied to become a member of SG-1 himself. His application had been accepted, and he went to Cheyenne Mountain.
He met with General Tealcson, a descendant of Teal’c of Chulak himself who had taken Earth as his adopted homeworld.
Tealcson described the other SG-1 members to Hindle. There was an alien called Dawaq from a world which had been overrun by an alien enemy, a human woman with the name of Sarah who was a diplomat and a technical expert on the Stargate and wormhole theory with the name of Dorran. They formed the new team who would be exploring the multitude of planets with Stargates. Exploring because the worlds changed from time to time, and because it felt like a better word than ‘patrolling’.
Hindle was still in Tealcson’s office when he heard a voice. A familiar voice. No, it couldn’t be.
Yes, it was him. The Doctor had returned!
Who were those people with him? He recognised Sam from SG-1 of the 20th Century – the legend herself – here and alive as if no time had passed!
Everyone around him was in awe!
He also recognised Quinn, Arturo, Diana and Wade.
‘Hi Doctor! Where are the others, I mean Maggie, Remmy and Colin. And Sam is here, but where’s Jack, Teal’c and Daniel?’
Tealcson eyed Hindle suspiciously. How on earth did he know these people and how did he expect the legends to be here. Why, everyone knew the legends died a long time ago. What. Who was that woman, she looked like the famous Samantha Carter. ‘Security’ he shouted.
‘No need. Here’s my old UNIT pass if it still means anything these days.’ the Doctor produced an ID card from his wallet.
‘Hi Hindle. We need your help. I’ve lost my TARDIS. We need to get back to the 21st Century.”

A few minutes later
Hindle had gotten Tealcson to allow Sam to do some modifications to the Stargate’s control systems, allowing it to be used to generate a wormhole back to the past. She calculated when a solar flare was going to occur, and used this fact. She dialed the Stargate address – earth’s address of course – and this took the path of the wormhole very close to the sun and on its right side.
The result of this being a bending of the wormhole plus an appropriate time dilation to allow the trip back to the 21st century.
Hindle had gotten permission from General Tealcson to take a leave from the future SG-1, so he could rejoin the Doctor and help him get back his TARDIS.

Cheyenne Mountain, Earth-777, 21st Century
The Doctor and the Sliders – Sam and Hindle included – came out of the Stargate at Stargate Command. The wormhole dissipated soon afterwards. General Hammond stood there near the Stargate, amazed. He was expecting SG-1 to come back. They had been gone for hours. Instead, here was the Doctor when you needed him.

“Doctor! Sam! Welcome back. Can you help? – SG1 have been missing for the past few hours. Where’s your TARDIS?”
“It’s a long story. It’s been captured by a bad guy named Ahab. I need to get it back – it’s URGENT” the Doctor replied.
“I understand. But I will send a rescue mission first. SG-1 need saving!” General Hammond said.

“I’m sorry but I must get my TARDIS back!”

“I’m afraid I can’t authorise that yet. First you must go to PX8-999. It’s where SG-1 went.”

“PX8-999?” Hindle knew that name. It was the old legends’ name for the planet he had been stationed on..
“Kinda!” the Doctor exclaimed. “Don’t tell me you went to Kinda… This is not good.” This could be interference with Hindle’s own past, too, he surmised.
“It is Kinda, Doctor!” Hindle said.

Hammond was puzzled at this point. “What’s the problem with this planet?”
“That world was once under the control of the Goa’uld. A great evil stays dormant in that world until a future time when it was unleashed. Kinda attracts evil such as the Goa’uld. It is dangerous. You must stay away from it.”
“You don’t understand. Last I heard from SG-1 they had discovered a sliding device on Kinda and they were going to bring it back to earth since the planet seemed uninhabited. I think they were ambushed.” Hammond explained.
“There are natives who live there. They expect the return of the Rulers – the Goa’uld, that is” the Doctor said.
“I will send SG-2 as a rescue mission.”
“I would like to join them” Hindle said. “I’m part of SG-1 in the future now and helping the legends is what I would like to do.”
“Son, you’re reassigned to SG-2 for the time being. When you come back, you can rejoin the Doctor and go back to your future time as part of the future SG-1 – assuming he gets his TARDIS back. Or even stay in the present and join Stargate Command. Your expertise would be greatly appreciated.” Hammond said, reassuringly.
Tegan, Adric, and Nyssa entered the Gate Room where everybody seemed to be. They were bored but at the same time, they had enjoyed hearing about the various things which had happened to SG-1. It was very fascinating, even for die-hard time travellers like them.

Roswell, New Mexico, Earth-777, present time (21st century)
It was September 25th. Three vicious and slimy creatures, encased in what looked like “pepperpot” armour, materialised in the town of Roswell. Their target: temporal activity which had occurred in the vicinity of a granolith. These Dominion-Daleks from the future had arrived in present day Roswell.

Somebody had travelled through time, and those capable of doing this were the Time Lords. Thus the Doctor and the Sliders must be here, on this very world!

They had found the right place, then, they thought.
They were wrong, of course. The granolith was Gallifreyan technlogy, no doubt, and had been used by the Seventh Doctor and left by him for Max Evans to use in the alternate future (so he would have been able to go to the past, altering the timeline).
They also got the time wrong. Alt-Max had NOT travelled back to this year, but to the next year!
This was also just two days after Max had saved Liz Parker’s life back at the Crashdown Cafe’… She was lying there, dying after a bullet hit her chest, when Max put his hand on Liz and she was healed completely, with no trace of the bullet or blood. She should have been dead, but she was alive.

Liz had not slept at all that night, thinking of her feelings for Max after he had revealed that he was an alien to her. That night, Max had visited her and told her how he had ‘seen’ her memories when she had been healed. And when he told her she could do the same if he touched her face and let her ‘see’ his memories, she saw Max as a kid emerging from the pod. The feelings grew intense and very strong. She could feel how he felt alone. She had gotten to know Max as a result much better than she knew him before and now she knew that in his eyes, she was the most special person alive. She kept rereading her diary where she had written the extraordinary events that had happened to her. Max was one of three aliens looking for any clues on their past. His ‘sister’ Isabel Evans and Michael Guerin were the other two who had been ‘hatched’ from the same pod chamber.

Her life had changed like the song she played on her PC said.. “Everything in a moment starting here, Something you said is hanging in the air, Now I know my life is sweetening, Changing everything, Something that you said, Turned me from the inside out, Running through my head. Something I have dreamed about“.

It was what Max said. It was real and different. She couldn’t think of anything else, even if she tried. Closing her eyes to try to sleep in her bed, only brought her a ‘picture’ of Max in front of her eyes.

Early morning, Sheriff Valenti was in his office, when reports came in of oversized pepperpots being seen in the town. He was surprised, this was something he never had heard of. He shrug it off at first, believing it to be a hoax like many. He became curious after some time, when the reports didn’t stop and when a report came in of somebody burnt to a cinder by what was called a laser blast, he decided it was time to investigate.
Valenti parked his car in a busy street which had gone crazy. People were shouting everywhere and strange noises came out of an abandoned building. He decided to get closer to see what was going on. What he saw gave him the shock of his life.

Aliens, real ones indeed. No green aliens, but pepperpot creatures? He fired his gun towards them, which of course had no effect. Fearing for his life, he tried to get away before it decided to chase him.

Cheyenne Mountain, Earth-777, 21st Century
The Doctor and Hindle had joined SG-2 on their rescue mission to save SG-1 on the planet Kinda.
Sam unlike what she expected, wasn’t allowed to go. Instead a few hours ago, she was assigned on a mission to go to Roswell, New Mexico. Even though she protested, Hammond denied her requests and dismissed her. She was angry that she could not go and rescue Jack and the others. Jack was important to her, more than just a friend. She did not wish to let him die without doing anything. But she could not do anything. In the Military, orders are orders. So she left for Roswell.

Roswell, New Mexico, Earth-777, present time (21st century)
Sam was carrying Zat guns which she hoped would be effective against this strange enemy. She viewed the scene. She was accompanied by some members of the SG-3 team.
A man was running out of a building which appeared to be derelict. He was the town’s Sheriff. So he had to be Sheriff Valenti, the son of a man who had claimed, years ago when he was the town’s Sheriff, to have encountered aliens in Roswell. So to avoid Valenti seeing anything she would do, she hid and waited until Valenti was gone in his car. Then she took action.
She entered the building and saw the three Dominion Daleks. Sam noticed they sported the word DOMINION on their outer casing. The Daleks saw her too.

HUMAN-YOU-WILL-BE-EXTERMINATED-BY-THE-DALEK-DOMINION‘ was all they said, turning to face her. Quickly, and without any useless talking (who wants to talk to Daleks anyway), she fired the Zat gun twice, which apparently they had never seen (and electrified their casings and eyestalk easily), and blew them to pieces.

‘That’s enough’, she said, as she got SG-3 to pick up the various pieces and parts of the Daleks which had been left. The Dalek parts would most likely end up in Area 51 eventually, but Stargate Command would get to examine them beforehand. Little did she know, however, that the dying alternate universe Daleks had managed to send out a subspace signal giving out their Stargate location – the location for Earth.

Earth-820, in the year 2582

The room was all white for some time, then the whiteness began to clear.

The Doctor could see various forms around them. Sam had never seen anything similar at this point in time. Diana and Arturo were left speechless. Wade felt a fear in her stomach which she had not felt since the first time they had met the Kromaggs.

Everything in the room had to do with the Daleks. Pictures of Daleks. Dalek Posters. Dalek Statues.

“Do you know what happened here?” Wade asked the Doctor.
“The Daleks have taken over this earth. Or more precisely the Dalek Dominion. The name is written in a number of these posters.”
“What’s happened to humanity?” Arturo asked.
“Most likely it has been completely wiped out.” Quinn said.
“Oh no, Remmy! We left him centuries ago, what if the Daleks invade way back when we left him?” Wade cried.
“The Dominion Dalek invasion, if it happened at a similar time as the normal Dalek invasion did in my universe, most likely it occurred a couple of centuries later. Remmy is safe for the time being. On the other hand, we are in danger.”
“Doctor, do you think these Daleks have access to sliding technology which we could use?” Arturo asked.
“I cannot tell. In universe-777 they did not have it.
If they don’t have it, we are all marooned here.
If they have it, they may well invade the whole multiverse – all the realities will be in danger” the Doctor sadly replied. “Sam, please help me calibrate this instrument. It can detect fine wormhole particles. It is no guarantee but it might indicate sliding or some stargate technology in use.”

PX8-999 (Universe-777) in the 21st century
Daniel, Jack, Maggie, Gabriel and Teal’c went back to the planet via Stargate. It was here where they had found an Ancient sliding device.

Daniel finally decoded the writing and understood how to use it. The device was small enough to be held in one’s hands. You had to touch a control and it would show the other parallel universe on a holographic screen. Then you could choose whether to slide there or not.

Daniel tried it but it did not work. Jack touched it and it suddenly activated by emitting some sounds similar to that of a xylophone. They did not understand why.

Once they were satisfied, they decided to bring it back to earth for further experimentation – in the hope that they would find the Sliders, even though there was a risk of finding a parallel earth’s version of them by mistake.

“This world is a paradise, really!” Jack exclaimed, pointing out the lush vegetation which surrounded them. It was the Amazon once again, but on an alien planet.

While it seemed that the planet was uninhabited as so far they had not met any living being, soon SG-1 began to hear some rustling sounds from the nearby bushes. It was clear that they were not alone.

Some natives came out, and Jack introduced himself. “Hi my name’s Jack. I’m a friend. You are?’
‘Larrisa is my name. How come you are-with-voice?’. It was a woman native who spoke to them.
‘Excuse me. Why, are your men mute?’ Jack replied bluntly.
‘All men are mute. You must not be a man then.’
‘I am a man. You haven’t met everyone. We are from far away. Very far away. Have you heard of the Stargate, the Chappa’ai?’ Jack was getting a bit nervous with this woman, who seemed very odd.
At the same time, both Sam and Daniel were thinking why would the native men be mute. Was it a genetic defect?
‘Chappa’ai? Our ancestors were brought here through it by the Rulers a long time ago. We do not know anything more about it.’ Larrisa replied to Jack
Maggie noticed that the men had snake motifs on their arms. ‘Do they do tattoos here? I’d like to get one’ she told the others.
‘Foolish woman Maggie’, Larrisa said, out loud. ‘thinks of herself first.’
‘How did you know my name?’ Maggie did not like this. ‘Are you telepathic?’
‘Indeed I am. As all my tribesmen and tribeswomen are.’
Daniel now explained to the others: ‘The snake motif – well it means that the Rulers were the Goa’uld. It is clear that this world was for a long time under the control of the Goa’uld. Indeed the natives had been brought here  from Africa or some other tribal region of Earth. This world possesses an abundant source of radioactive rocks which have bombarded this world as a result of the destruction of some planet. So the rocks had various effects on the settlers. The men went mute while all the natives gained an increased level of telepathic communication, more than normal anyway.”
Teal’c raised his eyebrows, it was difficult to tell whether this was disagreement or not.

Earth-820, in the year 2582
The Doctor’s instrument scanned the nearby areas for any wormhole particles.

They heard some sounds, Dalek-like sounds. “Hurry up”, Arturo told the Doctor. “Well do something rather than just complain!” the Doctor replied. “Yes! I have it!”
“It is less than a kilometre away from this room. It might be a centre of operations. It’s in this very building!”
Suddenly the door opened and a group of Dominion Daleks entered. “Intruders – humans – you – will – be – EXTERMINATED!”
“Oh no” Wade said.  She thought of Remmy. Was that his final fate, all alone, EXTERMINATED?

PX8-999 (Universe-777) in the 21st century
Daniel was very much interested in the community structure of the natives. How they lived, what they ate. It seemed that they avoid grains, sugars and starchy fruits, and were healthier as a result. Jack wanted to see whether there were any weapons left behind by the Ancients who must have colonised this planet before abandoning it, and before the Goa’uld dropped the natives here.
Daniel began to ask himself (and the rest of SG-1 too) – so had the Ancients – some of the Ancients at least – met the natives? Was there any crossover? Could the natives have learnt some of the Ancients’ culture?
They wondered. Jack asked whether they could take the Ancients sliding device with them. The leader of the natives, an elder woman named Charissa, said this would not be possible. “Is there no chance at all?” “No chance”
So they would not be able to do anything. Unlike the NID, which had rogue agents stealing alien technology, the SGC (Stargate Command) would never approve of theft. So their mission had been a failure.
Suddenly they heard a wooshing sound! It was the Stargate. It had just been activated and Jaffa troups were storming in.
PX8-999 was under attack by Kali, a System Lord of the Goa’uld, known as “Kali the destroyer”.

Jack said “We will try to defend you.”
Daniel added “These people are the Goa’uld, they are evil”.
Charissa said “No, they are the Rulers. We must welcome them back!”
Jack thought about Sam at this moment, wondering whether she was still alive at all, with the Sliders and the Doctor. But his mind returned to the present situation. “Your Rulers are pure evil, Madam.”
“Be silent, offworlder. Your tongue betrays you and your kind as betrayers. Capture them before they cause trouble!”
“Hey, Jack, I think that was not a nice thing to say..” Daniel said, worried.
A number of what looked like drone natives pointed various spears and other primitive weapons towards SG-1. They began to point them towards a fenced area. It looked like they were going to lock them there. Meanwhile Gabriel was getting a bit angry. He hit one of the natives, broke some of their spears and hardly felt it when they started shooting the spears at him. His strength was remarkable and his speed was beyond that of normal men. The natives began to worry about this. Charissa quickly told the natives to let them go, they would tell the Rulers about them and the Rulers would deal with the intruders themselves.

Earth-820, in the year 2582
EXTERMINATE-Wait-Who are you. How-come-you-are-still-alive. Humans-had-been-eradicated.” the Dominion Dalek with the highest ranking said, rather coldly.
Sam still had her P90 and she quickly took aim and fired it towards the Dominion Daleks, barely scraping them.
“That won’t do much damage! Try your Zat!” the Doctor shouted.
Sam took her Zat and fired it against all the Daleks in the room. Streaks of blue electricity flew away from them, criss-crossing the air. They shorted out, and died completely. Their cries – their shrieks could be heard. Sam felt a bit bad.
“Don’t feel bad about them. They are mass murderers and were going to kill us all. You’ve killed System Lords before.” the Doctor remarked.
“Goa’uld don’t cry when you kill them usually.”
“Enough philosophical discussions. We must leave now. They will probably be alerted to our presence when this lot fails to report.” Professor Arturo said. He looked towards an exit which lead to a long corridor.
They left, no daleks seemed to be around, so they hurried on. They were careful to see if anything or anyone was around, until they got to the room the Doctor had pinpointed with his instrument earlier on.
They opened the room and found it full of sliding devices. Who had created them? This question came to their mind. Was it the Ancients? A parallel version of Quinn? The Dominion Daleks themselves? The area close to the room and the room itself had seemed quite abandoned, so perhaps the Daleks had no idea what it was for and the previous owners had used it.

Then Quinn noticed some familiar things! This was stuff which he kept in his very own basement! So Quinn thought that his alternate on this world must have slid from this laboratory, and the Daleks eventually took over this building but not realising what Quinn had done.

The Doctor quickly corrected him. This earth’s alternate Quinn was no slider. He was an actor! So whoever had managed to slide, had actually seen the classic tv show WHOSLIDERS! He was a fan who had made the dream a reality on this world.

But who was he? Wade was thinking, could it be Remmy perhaps?

“There’s no time for curiosity. We must see if there is a device which can pinpoint my TARDIS or Earth-777” the Doctor locked the door so the Daleks would not enter it quickly. Soon they could be heard outside, trying to break into the room.
The Doctor found a locator device, and said ‘indeed this will be useful. We cannot pinpoint my TARDIS as it is in the past’. So he set it to Earth-777 and they slid, using a device in the room calibrated by the locator which created a wormhole, and they jumped through it like they do every time they slide.

When they landed, Quinn said “That device could help us get home eventually” Quinn pointed out. “Yes it could. Remember we still have to find our way to the present day. Also I need to get my TARDIS back first and if the White Guardian wants you to keep sliding, it’s important that you keep sliding. Though of course the final decision rests with you.”
Wade said “we’d better see where we are. We’re still in the future.”
The Doctor said the year is 2582. Good, There is someone whom we should meet now at Cheyenne Mountain.”

PX8-999 (Universe-777) in the 21st century
SG-1 had been captured by the Jaffa. Well, they surrendered because Jack thought what did they want with this little world. ‘Tau’ri, you have met the Kinda, I see!’ Kali the Goa’uld System Lord said. “But you will not get the technology they have.”
Jack began to understand. The devices left over by the Ancients on this world were now in the hands of the custodians, the Kinda. They probably did not know much about them. But the Goa’uld would now take over, and God knows what they might do with the technology. Not just that but this world was mentioned by the Doctor a while ago. He had called it Deva Loka, like it was the Land of Oz! This was bad. Real bad.

Earth-820, in the year 2582
Where-did-they-go?‘ the chief Dominion Dalek, which was coloured in gold, asked. The other Daleks processed the information which was available and came to the conclusion: ‘They-have-escaped-somewhere. Using-dimensional-portal-device-here.
Locator-device-missing. Thus-they-took-it
The chief Dalek called their creator informing him about the escape. Their creator was an ugly deformed man with a microchip in the form of an eye on his head. His name was once Adam, he had travelled with that alien called the Doctor many years ago. But he had forgotten all that himself and even his name. He called himself DaVrus now. Earlier he had contemplated taking the name Davros but he preferred the name Dav-Rose. Because once it meant Adam-Rose. Then as the centuries rolled by it degenerated to DamRose, and then Dav-Rose, until it became just DaVrus. Davrus gave his commands to the chief Dalek: ‘Just EXTERMINATE them. You must follow them and jump to the other dimension.
It-may-not-be-safe-or-we-may-not-return-because-we-do-not-know-which-dimension-they-went-to‘ another Dalek said.
Dominion-Daleks-may-not-be-cowards. EXTERMINATE coward-dominion-dalek!‘ the chief Dalek replied and the other Daleks promptly vapourised the coward Dalek.
Survival of the fittest. The other Daleks restarted the dimensional sliding portal and opened a wormhole, sliding to another dimension, chosen randomly, another parallel earth, hoping that it would be the one with the Doctor and the WhoSliders.

Earth-778, in the year 2582
The three Dominion Daleks searched the area where they had landed. It was a barren landscape. This earth had been defeated by aliens a long time ago – in the year 2014 – and everyone had been killed except for one survivor, Max Evans who had made his way into the past to try and change it, succeeding in diverging this world’s timeline to Earth-777, in the year 2000.
They tracked down a place where wormhole technology existed and found it. The location was Roswell, New Mexico. A granolith device had been used to time travel back into the past, but not recently. Still it was the only trace they found, and thus they had to follow it.
Soon, they had found the granolith and entered it. They activated the device, figured out how to use the rods, inserted one into the device’s base and it began to glow in red colours. Lights began to move around at the top and soon they simply disappeared into the past. Soon they would reappear in Roswell, Earth-777, in the early 21st century.

Skaro-777, 21st century
Red-Dalek, from the Doctor’s universe had been working on the Chappa’ai for ages now. But time did not count for Daleks. They could wait.
They had finally succeeded in learning how to operate it. All they needed now was addresses of other worlds, and they could now invade them via the Stargate. Otherwise they just entered random addresses, hoping to find useful inhabited worlds to invade and conquer completely.

AUTHOR NOTES:

The planet Daniel mentions is Krypton! So the radioactive rocks are Kryptonite…
The reference to Max Evans is to the Roswell episode ‘THE END OF THE WORLD’. He had become a Slider back in WHOSLIDERS 5.
PX8-999 is the planet Deva Loka, first seen in the classic Doctor Who episode ‘KINDA’ and in my fanfic WHOSLIDERS 4.
The Daleks on Skaro in Universe-777 are not the same Dominion Daleks from Earth-820. They are the classic Daleks the Doctor usually faces in his universe (777).
Davrus is unoriginally based on the many Internet theories about Adam becoming Davros (Doctor Who 2005 series season 1). So in Earth-820 he actually becomes Davros or Davrus anyway.

The Doctor is an alien explorer through time and space, going to amazing and terrible places in the universe, armed with his fantastic sonic screwdriver. The Tenth Doctor is currently travelling with Spock Prime.

The Doctor’s TARDIS in the 22nd Century
**********

Spock Prime, as he was affectionately called by Captain Kirk, left with the Doctor, in his TARDIS. Only a few hours ago he had overseen the beaming down of the survivors of the destruction of the planet Vulcan. It had been utterly and completely destroyed by the Romulan villain Nero.
The Doctor was wearing a pinstripe suit and Spock was still wearing his Starfleet uniform.

After some time the Doctor dematerialised the TARDIS on the moon. At this point in time there was a rather large moonbase structure and the Doctor told Spock all about this. This was still in Spock’s past and after all it was not his universe (Spock was from a parallel universe).

Earth-777
**********

“Prepare all our earth defenses. We will soon be invaded by Diana’s motherships. Diana is a Homo Reptilia from what I can discern”, Captain Jack warned.
“She doesn’t look like that, she’s humanoid” Colonel Samantha Carter said.
“Sam, that’s just fake skin grafts. Underneath it she’s a reptile”, Jack replied.
“My theory is that our moon travelled to another universe. And Diana’s moon travelled to ours.” Rodney explained. “Homo Reptilia? What’s that.”
“It’s like a Silurian, or a Sea devil. These used to live on earth in the past. Diana is probably an alien Homo Reptilia. I had met her once in a bar.” Captain Jack replied.
