FANFIC: TrekWho #1 – ODO’S TARDIS

This is the first crossover fanfic in my fan-series which features an amalgam Star Trek / Doctor Who universe. as it would occur in Universe-777 (the Stargate & Doctor Who universe).

2020 – added the name Tecteun from the Timeless Child. I had no idea the Doctor would have been adopted just like my merged Odo Doctor.

Story (C) 2002-2020 Mr SciRev

SPOILER: none
NOTE: Takes place straight after Doctor Who: The Kobali Warning

What you need to know:
The Doctor’s Universe-777 and the prime Star Trek Universe-881 have been merged into an amalgam universe. It is the 23rd Century and the half-Gallifreyan First Doctor is the first officer on Captain Jonathan Archer’s Enterprise Starship. The renegade Odo arrives in his damaged TARDIS on the Enterprise. Vulcans had originally settled on Gallifrey after their homeworld had been rendered uninhabitable in the Emotion War. There was much mistrust and hatred between the Vulcan and the other Native Gallifreyans.

FANFIC STORY NOTES

Takes place straight after Doctor Who and the X-Men II The Sequel

The Doctor worked the controls and read some particularly disturbing readings. A microtransporter device was emitting quantum signals. Such a device was certainly dangerous. It was forbidden, for good reason. What was to stop some random assassin from beaming sulphuric acid into an ambassador for instance? The technology should not exist.

New Star Trek Beyond Trailer Lacks Character/Story (UPDATED with Wil Wheaton & George Takei reactions)

I want character sequences.. actual story. There’s not much of this for me in the trailer and it certainly doesn’t make me want to watch it at the cinema. I know they try to make it seem high octane in the trailers but the last one was so bad I think I am strongly tempted to avoid this one now. Star Trek Legion of Super-Heroes Crossover: Chekov’s Scotch Whiskey and the TARDIS

I was rereading the Star Trek Legion of Super-heroes crossover and was impressed on how well written and drawn it was.

Released by IDW and DC comics starting in October 2011, it features a six issue crossover between the original Enterprise team (TOS) and DC’s Legion of Super-heroes of the time.

Writer: Chris Roberson
Pencils: Jeffrey Moy
Inks: Philip Moy
Colours: Romulo Fajardo JR
Letters: Chris Mowry, Shawn Lee, Robbie Robbins
Series edits: Chris Ryall

There is a reference to Darkseid placing this after the Great Darkness Saga for LOSH, which is still in “New 52” continuity, thus it seems this story has still happened in the “New 52” continuity.

And there is the TARDIS too, together with the Back to the Future Delorean and a host of other time machines…

Besides that, I noticed a reference to Chekov’s “Russian Misconceptions”, when he makes the LSH people think that in his universe Russia invented Scotch Whiskey, when in fact it didn’t!

This video has some nice “Russian Misconceptions” by Chekov.

Star Trek: Captain Worf tv series rumour

A rumour has been going around that the next Star Trek tv series will be Captain Worf.

This idea has been going around for a couple of years, however Michael Dorn’s efforts may yet result in something concrete. If anything, a new tv series from Star Trek should concentrate on the TNG character of Worf.

On the other hand there is no indication that it is becoming more than a pipedream, thanks to the 2009 reboot. Hollywood missed the boat on a Captain Sulu series, and now may be doing the same on this one.

FANFIC: First Voyage

“Is this a starship again? Which race built this thing? The Vulcans?”

“Amy, Amy! This is the first Starship Enterprise! It was a human starship, a Declaration Class vessel. It was launched in the year 2123, which is… the year we are in now. We are close to Alpha Centauri.” The Doctor answered.

“We haven’t met anyone since we’ve been walking. Which is unusual”, Rory commented.

IDW Star Trek / Doctor Who official crossover comic review

Wow! This site got a mention at TrekMovie.com.. thanks to the Doctor and the Enterprise which is hosted here.

Star Trek Doctor Who assimilation2I’ve been reading the crossover IDW released, called Star Trek / Doctor Who Assimilation 2.. My thoughts are quite simple really, for the most it’s a good read, it’s the first such official crossover, however the ending is a let down to me when you consider what the Doctor says at the end and Guinan’s comments about the normal flow of time being disturbed in  issue 4 are never followed through. So the Doctor says the 4th Doctor’s encounter with Captain Kirk will not have happened, but there’s no reason for this since they didn’t go back in time to prevent their encounter with the Cybermen in the first place… So it looks like it was hastily written.. or the writer wasn’t too clear on what was going on.

You can buy this crossover from the amazon.co.uk links below:

Star Wars vs Star Trek? vs Doctor Who?

William Shatner has spoken out on the “important topic” of Star Wars vs Star Trek….

So if Star Trek is a reflection on the human condition, and Star Wars is a special effects swashbuckling adventure, then where does that leave Doctor Who?
