Doctor Who and the X-Men: The Director’s Cut fanfic – Post Scriptum

POST SCRIPTUM

Meanwhile the Doctor looked at the spatial directional stabiliser which was indicating an unusual influx of fractal chronitons. “This should be Deva Loka”, he said. Once the TARDIS dematerialised, he operated the scanner controls and looked at the viewscreen. “No, this can’t be right. This can’t be our Deva Loka.
That looks green. As a jungle would. This is something brighter. Could this be Kobol?”

“It’s colourful, for sure, blue mountains, tall towers, blue trees.”, Tegan commented. The Doctor determined the current time. “This is OtherWorld, Roma’s home planet, within a special parallel flux beyond the normal parallel universes. Only we have arrived here a couple of years early. She has not met us yet. Let’s go and have a look, perhaps we can determine what went wrong and why we got here instead of Deva Loka.”

Crow: Oh, for a landmine.

An angry man entered the room in the TARDIS where the X-Men, the Sliders, Hindle, the Doctor and his companions were. “Another parallel version of myself”, he said looking at
Hindle. He was wearing military garb, his hand crouched behind him holding some deadly gun.

(Back in the SOL)
Tom: Who’s this guy now?
Mike: How should I know?

“Hindle!” Adric shouted.
There were two Hindles in the room. The one who just came in had a military beret, but one with some unrecognisable insignia. The new Hindle looked at the Professor – “You! But you were dead.”
“It seems you have mistaken me for somebody else.” Arturo looked untrustingly at the Hindle lookalike. “No, no, I’m Colonel Rickman and I killed you, Arturo a few hours ago! You can’t be alive!” Rickman said.

All: Aaaaah!!

“Well, won’t you follow me, come in!” I told the X-Men.

In the TARDIS

After the TARDIS has travelled to Universe-616, the Doctor has entered the co-ordinates of Earth-616, but somehow something is is blocking the TARDIS, as soon as it reaches the outer edges of the Solar System.
Adric said “The TARDIS scanners are indicating a huge facility with thousands of inhabitants, of various alien races, beyond the orbit of Pluto.” “It appears to be a transmat terminus, due to the energies which are being generated there”, the Doctor commented. “We’ll have to materialise there first”
“Doctor, is Earth-616 the same as our own Earth Prime?” asked Arturo.
“No, it is not. I am sorry.” the Doctor replied.

(PU, a couple of minutes back) Tegan exclaimed “Oh my God, that’s the Mara which had taken control of me, way back on Deva Loka!
Doctor, please don’t let it take control of me again!”
(Back in the SOL)
Crow: [Tegan] It might give me a personality or angst or something!

Nyssa said “calm down Tegan, the Doctor will find a way, you know he always does.”

Doctor Who and the X-Men: The Rewrite of the Original, or The Director’s Cut – Part 2

Back to Part 1

Part 2.

A few days ago, The Doctor, Tegan, Nyssa and Adric were travelling in the TARDIS when suddenly something shook the TARDIS. Tegan was certain that the floor and the walls of the rooms of the TARDIS were melting or even disappearing.
Tegan had just experienced one of her recurring nightmares. She could not understand why she kept having these since she was now free of the Mara, according to the Doctor.

The Mara was a pure essence of evil, a primeval being.
She suspected the Mara was responsible for these dreams. On the Kinda’s world, Deva Loka, the Mara had taken control of her mind for its evil purposes, entering our universe in this way. But the Doctor had found a way to banish the Mara back to where it apparently came from, using a circle of mirrors.

The truth, however, was there was more than one Mara, and more than one kind. After the Federation had been formed, the earliest Mara (or Maras, it is not known) and its own Sumaran Empire had been defeated on Manussa, the Sumaran Empire homeworld, by the Federation’s flagship – the Enterprise – commanded by a young Jonathan B. Archer (the B. stood for Beckett as in Sam Beckett). The Mara was only banished to what the Doctor called the dark places of the inside. But was there one Mara, more than one, or a large number which were inter-connected like the Borg species were?

Christmas Updates! SGU,Dalek Stargate,Dr Who Season 6

Hello all,
Sci-fi fans everywhere are not so happy this Christmas with the news of the Cancellation of SGU (Stargate Universe), though TPTB confirmed they are doing all they can, we wil see if something materialises. If not, there will be no more new Stargate for quite some time most likely from what they said and J.Mallozzi said the cancellation of SGU is bad news for those like myself hoping for an SGA or SG-1 movie.

Who Sliders 3 – Doctor Who and the Sliders: Doing the Deva Loka Dev Null Device

This is the crossover fanfic in my series featuring Doctor Who (the Fifth Doctor – played by Peter Davison in the classic BBC tv series) – and the Sliders.

Story (C) 2001-2016 Mr SciRev.

For the Dr Who Timeline Related to this Fanfic, or to read what happened just before this fanfic, please see Who Sliders 2

General fanfic-timeline commentary is presented in blue

What you need to know:
The Doctor is a Time Lord – a time-traveller from the alien world called Gallifrey who travels in space and time thanks to his TARDIS which looks like a police box, bigger inside than outside. When the Doctor is severely injured or even killed, he will regenerate into a new appearance and body. He is currently in his fifth incarnation (4th regeneration). His thirteenth will be the last.

The Sliders have developed a technique called Sliding which allows them to go to different dimensions or parallel universes, but will they ever find the way to their home universe?

The Doctor with his companions – currently an australian hostess named Tegan, Hindle ( a previously deranged soldier from a future earth colony ), young irritating genius Adric, alien orphan and technological expert Nyssa and the Sliders – is on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless and the powerless throughout the whole multiverse of multiple universes. The Doctor’s alteration to the Sliders’ timeline has resulted in multiple changes across various multiverse timelines in hypertime. Fixing these holes is an important task of the Doctor which has been sanctioned by an angel of God called the White Guardian.

You remember how the Doctor radically changed the history of the Sliders – indeed their timeline was well altered for the better. But since they were travellers who went to various parallel earths, those different universes which they had visited, now were all altered as a result of this. To fix these holes, left in the various timelines of the multiverse, the White Guardian has entrusted the Doctor with the task of making things right. This is the first one. What had happened on this particular parallel earth, before its timeline was altered by both the Doctor’s arrival, as well as Barclay’s Pathfinder beam.
For the reader’s benefit, what happened ON THIS DAY before the previous timeline was changed (or rather wiped out) is presented in italics. It is as if it never happened, now that the Doctor changed the timeline…

“Wow! That was a rough slide, don’t you think!” Remmy said to Colin.
Colin was Quinn’s brother. They had just slid back from another parallel world. Colin was born on the same parallel earth as Quinn was, but unlike Quinn who grew up on “Earth Prime” ie Earth-001, Colin was taken to a rural parallel Earth. He grew to love nature and appreciate its beauty. He grew on a farm. He could see the Creator reflected in his world’s nature. He was always ready to help his friends and to give his life for them. When Quinn found him he had eventually travelled with them, until he got ‘unstuck’ in the Time Continuum, due to a dangerous experiment conducted by a certain Dr Geiger. What a bad timeline this was, Colin thought, while he was ‘unstuck’. He would repeatedly find himself in different worlds for a few seconds, popping in and out of them. Never stopping. Until something happened once, he managed to stay in one of them. And on that world, he met Remmy and the Sliders. But they were not the same Sliders he knew. They were a parallel version, alternates of his friends, who had never met him. It had taken time, but they finally got to trust him.

“We have arrived at the Chandler Hotel of our world!” Alternate-Quinn said.
These Sliders were able to go back to their own world, unlike our own Sliders. They went back home often.
They were always trying to find Colin’s Sliders, but it was difficult. Their world was technologically very advanced, and their year was 1691! It was very unusual to Colin, but the others were used to this.
This time they were so sure that his Sliders had arrived on their own homeworld (Earth-001), but they could not trace them. Alternate-Quinn thought that the problem might be Time itself, perhaps they would have arrived here, in the future.
This was the correct guess in fact. Centuries later, Mallory, Remmy, Maggie and Diana would find the other Sliders’ Timer in an archeological dig. Diana was a Slider he had not met, and Mallory was the result of Dr Geiger’s dna combination experiment, which combined (our) Quinn and an alternate Quinn into a single person, who took the name Mallory afterwards.

Colin looked around the street close to the Chandler Hotel. Wistful, he hoped to see his friends. He saw an old parking meter and wondered where it would be when the other Sliders would get here. Probably buried underground, he thought. It would take an archaeological excavation to find it.
A war had started in this world’s middle east and quite soon it would arrive at the doorsteps of the Chandler Hotel. Abruptly, most of this world’s civilisation would come to an end. Sadly, Colin and the others would not live to tell their complete story. Their Timer would be found by Colin’s friends in the future.
This world’s Remmy was a hit singer who had accumulated many awards. Some of the locals who knew them were fans of Remmy. Lots of the awards and trophies were kept by some of them, in a special room. Some of the survivors of the war would keep their knowledge of it. Even though Remmy had died, some of them believed that this world’s Remmy had left their world by Sliding and would return one day. This legend came true, when the Remmy Colin knew arrived in this world, many centuries later.

The Doctor’s alteration to the Sliders’ timeline has resulted in multiple changes across various multiverse timelines in hypertime.

Another TOTALLY DIFFERENT  Federation in Universe-001 has developed starships capable of sliding. Parships can Slide across parallel universes using ParTravel, based on Sliding technology. Captain Jefferson Fletcher of the Federation Parship U.S.S. Endeavour is himself from Earth-002 however.”

Meanwhile, on a Parship (Parallel-World Ship) orbiting the planet, Captain Jefferson Fletcher was getting anxious that his Science Officer had not returned on board. The Parship was from the 23rd Century but in this universe time moved more slowly, so it was still 2001 here. It was like they had went back in time, but they hadn’t.
Something must have gone wrong, he deduced. He ordered a scan of the building which his Science Officer was supposed to examine. Before the scan had finished an incoming signal was received.
Suddenly the Sliders, Doctor Who and his companions all beamed on board of the real Parship Endeavour.
Wade said “Wow! This place is even cooler than virtual reality!”
“Virtual reality? And who are you?” Archer asked.
“Captain Archer, this is Miss Wade Wells. The four of us here call ourselves the Sliders since we Slide through parallel universes – Mister Rembrandt Brown, Mister Quinn Mallory and myself Professor Maximillian Arturo. This is the Doctor, and his companions: Miss Tegan Jovanka, Mister Adric of Alzarius and Miss Nyssa of Traken. This person is Hindle of the earth military from a parallel universe. We all are from parallel universes, as you can see. We Sliders are from what we call Earth-Prime. The Doctor, Hindle and his companions are from another universe. The Doctor calls it the N-Space universe.”
“I’m from the E-Space universe actually.” Adric pointed out.
“These parallels are headache inducing”, Archer said. “But your story interests me greatly. The Sliders are well known as the inventors of the Sliding Technology hundreds of years ago. My ancestor is said to have been a First Slider.”

The Doctor And The Enterprise D
——————————-

Chapter Nine
————

The Enterprise was suffering from the barrage of firepower
from all nine Cyber ships. The battle was not going well. Two
of the ships had been crippled, but the remaining seven were
fully operational. The Cyberfleet did have a major disadvantage
though, speed. The Enterprise was more manoeuvrable and agile
than the attacking ships.
“Forward shields have dropped to 83%. Aft shields are
holding at 79%.” reported Worf.
