Who Sliders 1 – Doctor Who and the Sliders: Leisure Centre Hotel

This is a crossover fanfic featuring Doctor Who (the Fifth Doctor – played by Peter Davison in the classic BBC tv series – and the Sliders. It happens after the events in the fanfic Doctor Who and the X-Men: The Director’s Cut. It has various inspirations.

It is really great to hear of the DVD release of the mara episodes, now that I am republishing my related fanfics.

The first WhoSliders series starred the 5th Doctor. The second series starred Rose Tyler, after the Time War but there is some overlap before/after lol. (the Time War is changing things with the Parship too astute readers will notice in 2016)  The third series will be a followup to the current Doctor Who series…

Story (C) 2001-2016 Mr SciRev.

What you need to know:
The Doctor is a Time Lord – a time-traveller from the alien world called Gallifrey who travels in space and time thanks to his TARDIS which looks like a police box, bigger inside than outside. When the Doctor is severely injured or even killed, he will regenerate into a new appearance and body. He is currently in his fifth incarnation (4th regeneration). His thirteenth will be the last.

The Sliders have developed a technique called Sliding which allows them to go to different dimensions or parallel universes, but will they ever find the way to their home universe?

The Doctor with his companions – currently an australian hostess named Tegan, Hindle ( a previously deranged soldier from a future earth colony ), young irritating genius Adric, alien orphan and technological expert Nyssa and the Sliders – is on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless and the powerless throughout the whole multiverse of multiple universes. The Doctor’s alteration to the Sliders’ timeline has resulted in multiple changes across various multiverse timelines in hypertime.

Earth-2001

A long time ago, on a parallel earth, boredom lead the inhabitants to build more and more leisure centres. The most advanced technology was used in these centres so that the visitors to the centres could relax. Many people gladly gave up their work as the government was paying them a larger amount than they had ever earned as a salary, and all they had to do was relax, in these centres.

At a particular leisure centre in Britain, a humming noise could be heard. Suddenly the particles of the air at one corner of a storage room began shimmering, until a form was apparent. It was the form of a Police Call Box. The TARDIS had materialised in the storage room.

“Doctor, where are we?”, Quinn asked.
“This could hardly be Deva Loka”, Tegan interjected.
“You know, Doctor, at times this TARDIS does not seem to work as it should.” Hindle told the Doctor.
“That’s enough. Hindle. Need I remind everyone how you almost blew Deva Loka up when we were there? This is Earth, 21st Century, it is the year 2001. We have left the parallel universes of the X-Men, I call that X-Space for convenience. This is still not our universe.” the Doctor said.
“This looks like a storage compartment to me. Perhaps we will have an Odyssey, or a Travesty in 2001. I still have not completely gotten over the fact that I was going to be killed by that madman Rickman.” Professor Arturo said.

UC Who

This is a fanfic crossover between the British tv show Doctor Who (featuring the 8th Doctor from the tv movie and BBC novels) and the Maltese tv show UC5 (aka Undercover 5), the prequel to Dejjem Tieghek Becky.

Story (C) 2003-2010 Mr Scirev.

Spoilers: Dr Who Timeline Related to this Fanfic: It happens straight after the BBC Books 8DA “FALL OF YQUATINE”.

He is currently in his eighth incarnation (7th regeneration). His thirteenth will be the last.

The Doctor with his companions – currently Fitz Kreiner and Compassion herself – are on a crusade to champion the cause of the innocent, the helpless and the powerless throughout the universe. This story’s theme: Compassion (The Doctor’s new TARDIS, a living machine which can travel through space and time but which can appear in humanoid form) is stuck in the shape of a Maltese policewoman named Becky (from the Undercover, UC5 PBS show) from 2003. The problem? Becky has recently drowned and is believed to be dead. (happens after the BBC book 8DA ‘FALL OF YQUATINE’, after the last UC5 episode, and contemporary to the 1st DEJJEM TIEGHEK BECKY episode which I call ‘THE SEARCH’)

NEWS: posted 30/9/2003: This week Becky returns in the new show DEJJEM TIEGHEK BECKY. She’s going to resign and take a new employment on a ship now. I think she will have amnesia or something. So this fanfic can happen just the same.

* * * * * * *

Mr Bert, or Is-Sur Bert as he was called in Maltese, was shocked. Utterly shocked. His mouth was wide open and stared at the dark-haired woman. His eyes were glazing at her.

The woman looked back in anger, obviously offended by his stare. Bert was becoming confused. ‘How is this possible?’ he thought, loudly enough for anyone to hear him.

Summary: An X-Files/The Prisoner Crossover
Spoilers: None for the X-Files. Many Happy Returns for The Prisoner.

Category: C – Crossover (with The Prisoner)
Disclaimer: Mulder and Scully belong to 1013 and Fox, no infringement intended. The Prisoner if you do not know was a classic sixties show with Patrick McGoohan as the lead actor. This man was a secret agent who resigned and subsequently found himself captured and taken to “The Village”.

How can one explain what happened to Number Ten? He’s one of the new arrivals in the Village. We have many new arrivals, after most of our population left, including the Butler, in our latest experiment on Number Six. Remember how most of the village people left, even Number Six, all thinking that they had regained their long lost freedom. Well some of them we did allow to remain in London, but the rest we brought back once the experiment was over. That includes Number Six. Pity that for the experiment, our Number Two had to retire. But we have promoted Number Three to Number Two now! Such a beautiful town we have, gentlemen. It’s a bright sunny day this morning. Yes. I was telling you about Number Ten. He was busy with one of his investigations one of these days, when he encountered our own Number Six. Number Six had once more managed to make an escape by hiding in an empty oil tank that was lined up to leave the village in the Potemkin. He had studied the sea operations quite carefully, the naughty fellow managed to slip away once more…

Chapter Nine
————

The Enterprise was suffering from the barrage of firepower
from all nine Cyber ships. The battle was not going well. Two
of the ships had been crippled, but the remaining seven were
fully operational. The Cyberfleet did have a major disadvantage
though, speed. The Enterprise was more manoeuvrable and agile
than the attacking ships.
“Forward shields have dropped to 83%. Aft shields are
holding at 79%.” reported Worf.

Chapter Seven
———————

Ace tossed and turned. She couldn’t get to sleep. She was
thinking about the Doctor, how she’d run out on him, how she’d failed
him. She didn’t like Cybermen, ever since the first encounter on
Earth in 1988 when they’d tried to take control of the Nemesis statue.
The statue had destroyed the entire Cyberfleet – or so she’d thought.
Then came the showdowns with the psychic circus, the Destroyer (and
Morgaine), Gabriel Chase in Perivale, and most recently the
confrontation with Fenric. That had almost broken her. She’d thought
her trust in the Doctor had been shattered, but he’d explained the
situation afterwards. The Doctor had suggested a short holiday,
perhaps to the Eye of Orion. She thought back to that moment when
they left England, (how she’d been glad to get out of those clothes
and into her normal attire).
“I think I could do with a holiday.” the Doctor had said. Ace
dropped off to sleep and, as she slept, thoughts flooded though her mind.

Chapter Five
————

Sarah looked on in horror as the lifeless body of the Doctor
drifted away from the ship.
“You’ve got to do something!” she exclaimed.
“There’s nothing I can do from here.” Riker said, by way of an
apology. He turned to Q, “Bring him back onboard Q.”
“I would, but you see he’s not really there. I tried looking
for him but I can’t find him. That’s why I asked you the question.”
“That was horrible. It was just a despicable trick to get us to
tell you.” Sarah blurted out. She had been close to tears at the
sight, but now she was regaining her composure somewhat and anger was
replacing grief.

Chapter 3
———

Out in the infinite reaches of space there is life. Not all
life is the same, some lifeforms are limited by intelligence and
technology. Some are not. The smiling figure sitting on the saucer
section was from a race with no limits. Q smiled. Time to pay a
visit on some old friends.

Jean-Luc Picard, Captain of the Enterprise, sat in his ready
room. He had just finished a report to Starfleet command, and was
trying, for the fourth time, to get into Beverly’s book. This time he
was having some success, the book was indeed getting good. The door
chimed and Picard groaned inwardly.
“Enter.” he called out. The doors stayed shut. He repeated the
word, the doors stayed closed. He got up and went to the doors, which
opened at his presence. There was no-one at the door and Picard
stepped back, the doors closing. Strange, he thought, and turned back
to the couch…

…to find somebody sitting reading his book. The figure had
his back to the captain, but when he spoke Jean-Luc felt icy fingers
crawl up his back.
“Mon Capitan. I’ve missed you.” said the all-too-familiar voice
of Q.

Chapter One
———–

The Enterprise rocked under the onslaught. The Romulan Warbird
was winning the battle, but at a cost. Its warp engines had been
disabled in a lucky shot, compliments of Mr Worf, and the Warbird was
now incapable of firing torpedoes. Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Commander
Riker and Lt Commander Data were dead.
