John Barrowman (Captain Jack in Doctor Who and Torchwood) recently said – while promoting his new book in a Welsh Waterstones – “I will be back in Cardiff in about a week and a half… but I’m not telling you what for!”.

Capaldi recently said : “I don’t know whether [the new companion] would be involved in the Christmas special, because it’s so specific, the story we’re doing with the companion.”

So perhaps this all ties in and we will be getting the good Captain in the Christmas 2016 special.
