This is the crossover fanfic in my fan-series which features a parallel universe Moonbase Alpha (Space:1999) as it would occur in Universe-777 (the Stargate & Doctor Who universe).

For the Stargate Timeline, it happens after Stargate Atlantis 4×3 and the Stargate Continuum movie.

SPOILER: Space:1999’s “Another Time Another Place”, this story follows that one as well as V: The Original Series.

 

What you need to know:
“The IOA (International Oversight Advisory) has set up a top secret base on the moon powered by a ZPM (Zero-Point Module) – an ancient power source. Stargate Command has commissioned special crafts called Eagles and a Stargate – a ring-like device created by the Ancients able to send people through a wormhole – but one without a protective iris. A separate section on the moon houses a super-hadron collider. A mysterious hyperdrive in the catacombs of the moon has been activated, catapulting the moon to an unknown area in space. First the moon ended up in the Void between parallel universes, invaded by some Cybermen and now after reactivating the device, ended up back in orbit around what seems like earth!”

After a while, a Starcapsule was launched and it docked on the moonbase. The pilot of the capsule was an alien woman of 32 years of age. She had dark brown ears and long sideburns. Her eyebrows looked distinct, to say the least. They looked upturned, not like human eyebrows. Her name was Maya and she was a pilot, mathematician and computer scientist. Bill and Tony were so relieved to be back. They wondered about Victor, though. They were not informed via the official channels about what had happened to him.

Maya met with Dr Daniel Jackson and explained all about Victor’s decision to stay on earth. They started a video-link transmission to earth so as to speak to him directly. Victor gave his goodbyes to all aboard Alpha. He was going to stay on this earth. All in Main Mission were in tears. Maya was really fascinated by this moon which could travel to parallel earths.
The decision had been taken to slide to another moon by Daniel, John and Simmonds himself. Simmonds did not like this earth much, so he expressed his hope that the next time they would return to their universe. “But what if we keep on finding new universes?” John Koenig asked.

“I hope there will be an end. We will find our universe or one really really like it.”

After going to the catacombs, John Koenig pressed the button on the alien hyperdrive device. The moon warped out of this universe, and into another. Promptly a different moon appeared instead of it, taking its place.

Now where was Earth-777’s moon? It ended up in yet another universe. Daniel Jackson ordered a wide scan of Earth. Any transmissions would be picked up.  There was none.

Maya explained that the data returned indicated that this earth was devastated after a pole shift of the earth’s axis. The only habitable area was in Southern California and thus it was decided to send an Eagle to investigate the location.

On the Eagle were John Koenig, Daniel Jackson and Teal’c. Teal’c now was happy knowing he was not the only alien onboard Alpha. They saw what looked like a settlement and decided to investigate it.

Earth-777

Back on Earth, a team of scientists and other people were working day and night on an attempt to solve what had happened to earth’s moon. Sam Carter, Rodney McKay and Captain Jack Harkness were brought together at Stargate Command, to try and solve this mystery. The Captain was aware of the Stargate thanks to a time when he thwarted an alien infiltration at Stargate Command itself, and he had been given clearance.

They attempted to dial the Stargate on the moon with no success. Suddenly an earthquake was felt and they managed to make a connection. Reports started coming in that the moon was visible once more.

Sam tried to get through to Dr Daniel Jackson on the moon via radio, however a reply came back from quite a different voice.
“This is Diana. Who is calling?”
“This Colonel Sam Carter from Stargate Command, where is Dr Jackson?”
“Dr Jackson? Humans? Disconnect signal immediately!”

“Close the iris immediately. This is an alien we are dealing with” Captain Jack exclaimed.
“Agreed, do as he says” Captain Carter said. As soon as the iris closed, an attempted connection was made and an explosion was heard. “She’s trying to bombard us!” Rodney said.
“Let’s send a MALP through, so we see what’s on the other side” Sam suggested.
They did this and video images began to be transmitted.
They could now see the moon’s gate room, only it looked quite different from the one they expected to see.
“What?” Sam said “This is not our moon’s gate room, it’s another moon.”

They saw Diana, a woman wearing all red, looking at the MALP device.
“Send the self-destruct sequence to the MALP and then disconnect” Sam ordered.
“Done” gate technician Walter said.

Earth-702

John, Daniel and Teal’c were in the Eagle craft which was attempting to land next to the settlement. The landing was successful, and the trio got out of the Eagle. They looked at the surroundings and saw some figures coming towards them.

It was Professor Victor Bergman, John realised. It was an alternate version of Victor. He wasn’t too happy at all. Victor was angry at the trio. “Why did you come here? This will bring destruction on us.”
“It wasn’t our choice. Our moon went to a different universe from ours”, Daniel explained. “I am Dr Daniel Jackson, commander of Moonbase Alpha. These are my second in command John Koenig and Teal’c.”
“Quite frankly I do not care. Just leave us, in case our people start to die because of you. It has already happened before with other alternates who had visited us.”
“We were hoping you could tell us what happened to this earth, and whether your moon is sliding, or going through different universes like ours”
“Indeed that is what happened to ours. We found ourselves in this universe, where humanity had killed itself through a nuclear exchange. We settled here in the only habitable place, South California.” Victor explained.
“Do you need help, such as medicines”, Daniel asked.
“We might need some but you can’t stay long. Our earth is very susceptible to dimensional visitors such as yourselves. Both our people and yours may be at risk.
Is there a Regina Kesslan on your base?”
“No, but we know her, she’s with SG-9” Daniel answered. “Why?”
“She died here when the other moon came here.”
“I see. Well let’s give you the medicines and we can leave.”

Shots were heard. The encampment was being attacked. But by whom? Wasn’t all of humanity dead ?

“Prepare all our earth defenses. We will soon be invaded by Diana’s motherships. Diana is a Homo Reptilia from what I can discern”, Captain Jack warned.
“She doesn’t look like that, she’s humanoid” Sam said.
“That’s just fake skin grafts. Underneath it she’s a reptile”, Jack replied.
“My theory is that our moon travelled to another universe. And Diana’s moon travelled to ours.” Rodney explained. “Homo Reptilia? What’s that.”
“It’s like a Silurian, or a Sea devil. These used to live on earth in the past. Diana is probably an alien Homo Reptilia” Captain Jack replied.

After a few minutes some large motherships entered the atmosphere, it was clear they had come from the moon. They started firing missles towards the ground.
